New York Yankees Could Lose Aaron Judge to Injured List Again With New Ailment

A fantastic play has come with consequences.

New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge is dealing with a right big toe injury that could potentially land him back on the injured list.

Judge injured his toe when making a superb catch on Saturday. The massive outfielder ran into the right field wall and busted it open at Dodger Stadium.

Judge was held out of the lineup on Sunday night and told reporters that his toe felt kind of bad and had some swelling in it. However, he did not know if this injury would require an IL stint or not.

Judge was set to undergo a variety of testing on Monday to determine whether his big toe is broken or not.

The 31-year-old is hopeful that with a day of rest he can be back in the Yankees’ lineup on Tuesday.

“I really don’t care at this point,” Judge said of potentially going on the IL, via The New York Post. “If I’m on it, I’m on it. But I’m trying not to be. Who knows? I’ve got no answer yet. I’m hoping today and [Monday] having a little bit of rest, we’ll be good to go hopefully on Tuesday. But we’ll take it day-to-day right now.”

Judge already spent some time on the injured list with a right hamstring strain.
