‘Spirit’: Sandeep Reddy Vanga announces his next starring Prabhas; calls it a ‘straight Telugu pan-Indian’ movie
Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director behind Ranbir Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Animal,’ is currently immersed in promotional activities as the film’s release date approaches. During a recent press event, Vanga revealed details about his next project titled ‘Spirit,’ featuring Prabhas, confirming that it will be a Telugu language film with a pan-Indian release.
Unlike Prabhas’ previous bilingual films like ‘Saaho,’ ‘Radhe Shyam,’ and ‘Adipurush,’ as well as the upcoming ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,’ ‘Spirit’ will specifically cater to Telugu audiences while aiming for a wider appeal across India. The movie is a violent cop action thriller, written and directed by Vanga and produced by Bhushan Kumar from T-Series.
There are speculations about ‘Spirit’ possibly laying the groundwork for a cinematic universe connecting Ranbir Kapoor’s character from ‘Animal’ and Prabhas’ character from ‘Spirit.’ These rumors gained traction after Ranbir hinted at the possibility during a press meet with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for his previous work on ‘Kabir Singh,’ is making a comeback with ‘Animal,’ featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The film, written and edited by Vanga, boasts an ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, and more. ‘Animal’ is scheduled to hit theaters on December 1, 2023, with the trailer receiving positive responses.
Prabhas, last seen in ‘Adipurush,’ is gearing up for the release of ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,’ directed by Prashanth Neel, known for the blockbuster ‘KGF.’ The trailer for ‘Salaar’ is set to be released soon, and the film is slated to hit theaters on December 22, coinciding with Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Dunki.’

In addition to ‘Spirit,’ Prabhas has other projects in the pipeline, including Nag Aswin’s dystopian movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ and Maruti’s horror-comedy film ‘Raja Deluxe.’
