Delhi: Two Vistara flight has been diverted to Lucknow and Jaipur due to bad weather and air congestion at Delhi Airport on Monday.
A Vistara flight bound for Delhi was redirected to Lucknow due to significant air traffic congestion at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, as reported by the airline. Another aircraft flying from Guwahati to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur.
The affected flight, UK778, was en route from Kolkata to Delhi and is now scheduled to land at Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport at 6:45 pm. The decision to reroute the flight was a preemptive measure aimed at addressing challenges arising from the air traffic situation in Delhi, ensuring safety and operational efficiency.
In an official statement, the airline explained, “Flight UK778 from Kolkata to Delhi (CCU-DEL) has been diverted to Lucknow (LKO) due to Air Traffic congestion at Delhi airport and is expected to arrive in Lucknow at 1845 hours.”
Additionally, another flight, UK742 from Guwahati to Delhi (GAU-DEL), faced diversions to Jaipur (JAI) due to adverse weather conditions and air traffic congestion at Delhi airport. It is anticipated to land in Jaipur at 1930 hours.
