A man in his late 40s was brought to Wexford General Hospital on Saturday night after being bitten on the face during an altercation with another male.
The incident, which occurred on South Main Street in Wexford town, saw one man attacked by another resulting in facial injuries and what gardaí said “appeared to be a bite mark” on the face of the victim.
The injured party was subsequently released from hospital following treatment. Gardaí are continuing to investigate the incident, but, to date, no arrests have been made. They are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 053 916 5200.
Meanwhile, there were no serious injuries at a road traffic incident in Ferrycarrig on Sunday evening which led to traffic delays on the N11 all the way back to Oylegate.
