Haryana News: Twist In Equation As 3 JJP MLAs Meet BJP’s Khattar After Dushyant’s Floor Test Call, Congress Approaches Guv
Haryana Political Crisis: Amid the ongoing political crisis in Haryana, JJP leader and former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Thursday asked Governor Bandaru Dattatreya to order a floor test. The development comes after three independent MLAs withdrew support from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. In a letter to the governor, Chautala sought his intervention under Article 174, as the Nayab Singh Saini government does not command a majority.
“The Nayab Saini government was formed with the support of six Independents. While three have withdrawn support, one Independent MLA resigned from the House and his resignation was accepted on April 30. The government no longer has the numbers, necessitating a floor test,” it read, as quoted by news agency IANS.
On Thursday, three Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) MLAs met former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at the residence of state Panchayat Minister Mahipal Dhanda at Panipat.
