Bayer Leverkusen rehabilitiert sich für das bittere 1:5 gegen Bayern München nur halbwegs. Es führte in Köln nach 17 Minuten 2:0, musste sich jedoch mit einem 2:2 begnügen.

Anfänglich schien es, als wollte die Mannschaft von Trainer Gerardo Seoane mit den Kölnern im Nachbar-Derby so verfahren, wie die Bayern mit ihnen verfahren waren: Tore in rascher Folge, frühe (Vor-)Entscheidung. Nach rund einer Viertelstunde trafen Patrik Schick und Karim Bellarabi innerhalb von zwei Minuten, und wenig später hatte Jeremie Frimpong mit einem Lattenschuss Pech. Leverkusen kontrollierte die Partie in der zweiten Halbzeit recht gut, und trotzdem schlug Kölns Goalgetter Anthony Modeste zweimal zu.

Und alles sah nach diesem Sieg aus: Union führte nach 92 Minuten 1:0 und hatte nach einer Gelb-roten Karte gegen einen Stuttgarter einen Spieler mehr auf dem Platz. Fast mit dem Schlusspfiff mussten die Berliner aber noch den Ausgleich hinnehmen.

Dank einem späten Penalty-Tor des eingewechselten Paulo Dybala holte Juve im Derby d’Italia einen Punkt. Der Rückstand der Turiner auf das Spitzenduo Napoli/Milan beträgt trotzdem zehn Punkte. Beim Meister wäre mehr als das Unentschieden möglich gewesen: Die Juventini hatten über das ganze Spiel die besseren Torchancen. Kurz bevor Edin Dzeko Inter nach 17 Minuten in Führung brachte, hatten Alvaro Morata und Alex Sandro Inters Goalie Samir Handanovic zu erstklassigen Paraden gezwungen.

Inter Mailand – Juventus Turin 1:1 (1:0)

Napoli gab in der 9. Runde der Serie A erstmals Punkte ab. Der Leader erreichte bei der AS Roma nur ein 0:0. Romas Trainer José Mourinho wurde wegen Reklamierens zweimal verwarnt und vom Schiedsrichter von der Trainerbank verwiesen. Napoli ist noch Erster, bleibt aber nur dank der besseren Tordifferenz vor der AC Milan. Für Roma und Mourinho gab es drei Tage nach dem blamablen 1:6 in der Europa League in Bodö immerhin einen Achtungserfolg.

Atalanta – Udinese 1:1

Atalanta Bergamo tut sich im eigenen Stadion schwer. Die Lombarden mit Remo Freuler verpassten mit dem 1:1 gegen Udinese einmal mehr einen Heimsieg. Seit Saisonbeginn konnte Atalanta nur zwei von sechs Heimspielen gewinnen: in der Champions League gegen die Young Boys und in der Meisterschaft gegen Sassuolo.

Real Madrid besiegte den FC Barcelona zum vierten Mal in Serie in einem Clasico in der Meisterschaft. Das vorentscheidende 1:0 erzielte der von Bayern München verpflichtete österreichische Verteidiger David Alaba nach einem Doppelpass von ausserhalb des Strafraums. Die weiteren Tore fielen erst tief in der siebenminütigen Nachspielzeit. Die guten Chancen waren gleichmässig verteilt, sodass die Katalanen eine Punkteteilung verdient hätten. Real liegt damit neu fünf Punkte vor Barça.

Eine spektakuläre Wende sah Xherdan Shaqiri von der Ersatzbank aus. In Nizza führte sein Olympique Lyon bis zehn Minuten vor dem Ende mit 2:0, der Sieg schien in Greifweite. Doch dann drehte Nice die Partie noch, in der 93. Minute erzielte der vormalige Lausanne-Stürmer Evan Guessand den 3:2-Siegtreffer für das Heimteam.
