Fugitive Line group porn star finally brought to justice

Asia's Tech News Daily

A 30-year-old transgender woman was arrested in Tak's Sam Ngao district for allegedly broadcasting sex with her boyfriend to subscribers in a Line chat group, according to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD).

Karnklao Klomkan, 30, was wanted on an arrest warrant issued on Aug 2 by the Criminal Court for charges related to pornography. One involved importing pornographic materials into a computer system for distribution or commercial purposes.

The suspect was nabbed on Thursday in Sam Ngao district after weeks of investigation into complaints about a porn website that encouraged people to join an online group with sex shows.

Having paid subscription fees, members were brought into a Line group that streamed sex shows, police said.

As the investigation went on, police identified one of the people in the broadcast as Ms Karnklao and found she was staying in Tak. She was also wanted on an arrest warrant sought by Wang Thong Lang police in Bangkok for similar offences.

Police said Ms Karnklao admitted the charges and identified the man in the sex shows as her boyfriend. According to police, she started the Line group last year and collected 700 baht per subscription.
