It has been something of a quiet transfer window so far for Nottingham in terms of business done.
Goalkeeper Ethan Horvath remains the club’s only permanent senior signing, while winger Philip Zinckernagel and full-back Jordi Osei-Tutu have joined on loan from Watford and respectively.
As a result, it does seem as though there are still plenty of deals to be done at The City Ground, in terms of both incomings and outgoings, before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
So here, we’ve taken a look at some of the biggest Nottingham Forest transfer stories to have emerged over the past few days.
Competition for Morgan Rogers deal
One player who has seemingly emerged as a target for Forest this summer, is Manchester City winger Morgan Rogers, who enjoyed an impressive second half of the campaign on loan with Lincoln City last season.
Indeed, the 19-year-old was said to have been present at Forest’s 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, although it seems that Chris Hughton’s side will still have to fend off interest from elsewhere to sign the winger.
Bournemouth themselves are now also thought to be keen on a deal for the teenager, while the Daily Mail now claim that Premier League side Crystal Palace are considering Rogers as a potential target as we enter the final stages of the window.
Southampton chase Joe Worrall
One current Forest player whose future continues to be the subject of much speculation this summer, is centre back Joe Worrall.
West Ham, Burnley and Brentford are among the Premier League sides to have been linked with a move for the defender in recent months, but while no deal has materialised there, it seems there is now fresh interest emerging in the 24-year-old from the top-flight.
According to reports from Hampshire Live, Southampton are now targeting a move for Worrall, as they look to replace Jannik Vestergaard following his move to Leicester. It is thought that Worrall, who has three years remaining on his Forest contract, would cost between £10million and £12million.
Forest have already confirmed one player departure in the past few days, which comes in the form of Fouad Bachirou.
The midfielder only joined Forest from Swedish side Malmo last summer, but struggled to make an impact at The City Ground, making just three appearances across all competitions for the Championship club.
Now, Bachirou has secured a move to pastures new, with it being announced on Monday that the 31-year-old Comoros international has completed a move to Omonia Nicosia on a free transfer, signing a two-year deal with the Cypriot side.Internet Explorer Channel Network
