Nagsimula ang programa sa pagrampa ng apat na datihang Pambansang Alagad ng Sining na dumalo sa pagtitipon.
Kapagkuwan ay rumampa ang mga bagong National Artists, at panghuli sa mga rumampa si Ate Guy.
Bawat National Artist o kinatawan ay inalalayan ng usher sa pagrampa mula sa may pintuan sa itaas patungo sa kani-kanyang upuan. Senior citizen ang karamihan sa kanila.

Si Nora rin ang huling pinarangalan sa entablado.
Bahagi ng binasang talumpati ng multi-awarded movie queen, “Nitong mga nakaraang araw, sinubok po muli ako ng isang karamdaman.
“At kaya hindi po ako nakadalo sa Malacañang ngunit nagiging malakas po ang pakiramdam ko dahil sa mga dasal ninyo.
“Salamat po sa pag-aalala at pagpaparating ng inyong mga mensahe. Utang na loob ko po sa inyo lahat ang buhay at sining na minahal niyo po sa isang Nora Aunor simula po noong nakipagsapalaran po ako na umawit at sinuong ang buhay na pelikula ilang dekada na ang nakakaraan.
“Hindi po lahat madali ang buhay na ito ngunit wala po akong maisusumbat kanino man dahil sa kabila ng lahat na hirap at kontrobersiya, patuloy po ninyo akong minamahal, at ang sining na aking inihandog sa inyong lahat.”

Masigabo ang palakpakan sa 69-anyos na Superstar, ngunit hindi lahat ay nagsitayo. Iyong iba ay bulungan pa nang bulungan habang nagsasalita si Ate Guy.
Nagyakapan si Ate Guy at ang kapwa Bikolano na si Ricky Lee na bagong hirang din bilang National Artist.
Gusto sana naming interbyuhin kapagkuwan si Ate Guy ngunit ayon sa isang katoto, kawawa ito at nahihirapang huminga.
Sinamahan si Nora ng mga anak na sina Ian, Matet, at Kenneth.

“For sure, gusto ni Lotlot na tahimik na lang muna. Ang importante, OK na sila ng mommy niya,” ayon sa source ng PEP Troika.
Masaya si Ate Guy pagkatapos ng tribute sa CCP. Nagutom siya kaya nagyayang kumain sa Sofitel Hotel.
Sabi pa ng source ng PEP Troika, “Hindi sinumpong ng sakit niya ang Superstar pagkatapos ng tribute ceremony.
“For the record, hindi na siya naninigarilyo.”

Katabi ko sa buong programa ang anak ni Ate Guy na si Ian de Leon at talagang proud siya sa Mama niya.
“Kinikilabutan ako,” sabi niya sa akin nang nagsimulang pumasok ang mga National Artist.
Pero bahagyang nanghinayang si Ian dahil sa kabilang side pumasok ang ina niya, at halos di siya makita ng anak dahil sa liit nito.
Hindi man matangkad si Ate Guy, napakalaki naman ang naiambag niya sa sining at kultura na sana ay mas na-emphasize pa sa actual na presentation.
Gusto ko rin sanang magkaroon ng moment sa kanya at magpa-picture dahil nasa harapan ko na siya, pero hinayaan ko na lang siyang mailagay sa kanyang wheelchair at mailabas through the backstage dahil madali na siyang hingalin.
Kasama si Ate Guy sa ating ipinapanalangin, at patuloy tayong nagpapasalamat sa pag-aalay niya ng kanyang buhay para sa Sining at Kulturang Pilipino.

Siyempre, ang stars sa Parangal sa mga Pambansang Alagad ng Sining 2022 ay ang walong bagong National Artists.
Maliban kina Nora Aunor at Ricky Lee, kabilang diyan sina Tony Mabesa, Marilou Diaz-Abaya, Agnes Locsin, Salvacion Lim-Higgins, Gemino Abad, at Fides Cuyugan-Asensio.

Sabi ng Superstar, mula noong Hunyo 10 na mapabalita ang mga bagong hirang na National Artists ay labis siyang natutuwa at nagpapasalamat sa napakalaking pagkilala na iginawad sa kanya at sa kanyang sining.
Pahayag pa ni Ate Guy, “Gusto kong isipin na sa pagkilalang ito na iginagawad sa akin, kasama ko rin po kayong pinaparangalan, lalo na ang mga mahal kong Noranians, ang mga kapwa ko artista, mga batikan at baguhang direktor, at mga producers na patuloy pa ring isinusulong ang pagsigla ng makabuluhang pelikulang Pilipino.
“Asahan po ninyong sa abot ng aking makakaya ay patuloy pa nating isusulong ang mga pelikulang kapupulutan ng aral at inspirasyon.
“Mga pelikulang nagsasalaysay ng ating mga kuwento bilang mga Pilipino.
“Pakinggan po natin ang mga kuwentong ito, lalo na ang mga mula sa iba’t ibang rehiyon ng ating bansa.
“Kailangang magkuwento nang magkuwento tayo upang hindi tayo makalimot, upang hindi tayo malugmok, dahil laging may pag-asa ano man po ang mangyari.”
Mapapanood sa Facebook page ng National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) at Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) ang mga kaganapan sa Tribute to the 2022 National Artists.
