Popular comic actor Vengal Rao seeks financial help; Silambarasan extends support

Vengal Rao, the notable Tamil comedian known for his roles alongside Vadivelu in several Tamil movies, has been suffering from ill health for the past few years and is struggling with his financial needs. Currently residing in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, Vengal Rao has sent out a message to cinema stars seeking financial support.

In a video, Vengal Rao explains his health condition, revealing that one hand and one leg are paralyzed. He appeals to cinema stars for financial help to support his medical treatment. The video shows Vengal Rao in a difficult situation, as the aging actor struggles to speak clearly due to his paralysis.

Silambarasan, known for his role in 'Thug Life', stepped in to support Vengal Rao after the video went viral. He reportedly donated Rs 2 lakh for Vengal Rao's medical expenses. It remains to be seen if other actors will come forward to help Vengal Rao as well.

In June 2022, Vengal Rao was diagnosed with liver disease and was admitted to a government hospital in Vijayawada. His daughter Lakshmi assisted in his treatment, and he recovered after a week of care at the hospital.

Vengal Rao has acted in several Tamil movies, often appearing alongside Vadivelu in more than 30 films as part of the leading comedian's team. His comedy scenes with Vadivelu in the films 'Kanthaswamy' and 'Thalai Nagaram' are especially popular among fans.
