Pirates of the Caribbean is coming to Fortnite this July
Other Pirates of the Caribbean-themed items like 'Ship in the Bottle', a Jack Sparrow 'Jar of Dirt' emote and even the Pirates of the Caribbean Event Pass Showcase were revealed. As per the leaks, the Ship in the Bottle is "a cursed ship trapped in a bottle. Open it to unleash the ship from its ghostly depths, diving into your opponents with a devastating crash!"
An image of a Fortnite loading screen showing Captain Jack Sparrow trying to flee from Davy Jones also leaked.
Epic Games later confirmed that the Fortnite and Pirates of the Caribbean crossover is happening, indeed. The crossover starts July 19.
Hypex also revealed that the Pirates of the Caribbean 'Cursed Sails Pass' was on for sale before its intended release date. Consequently, Epic Games swiftly removed the Cursed Sails Pass from the store.
Epic Games also made it clear in a post on X that players who’d purchased the Cursed Sail Pass before its intended release date of July 19 would be “unable to progress the Pass until the start of the event” but would retain their Jack Sparrow outfit. Epic added that those who would like to get refunds and return the outfit can reach out to its Player Support team on this link: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/
Speaking of crossovers, Fortnite’s most recent one has been with legendary Thrash Metal band Metallica. Band members James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo are headlining Fortnite Season 4 which will continue till August 16, 2024.
