Aishwarya Lekshmi To Star Opposite Sai Dharam Tej In His First Pan-India Film SDT18

South Indian superstar Sai Dharam Tej is gearing up for his pan-India debut in an action-packed drama film titled SDT18. This high-energy film marks the directorial debut of Rohith KP and is produced by K Niranjan Reddy and Chaitanya Reddy under the banner of Primeshow Entertainment. The film will star actress Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead opposite Tej.
Sai Dharam Tej took to Instagram to unveil the poster of his upcoming film, giving fans a sneak peek of what’s in the store. The poster features a lone green tree in a desert that is surrounded by landmines, accompanied by the text, “The land that is longing for his arrival. He’ll ascend from the depths.” It also includes the names of the director and producers and announces that the shoot has begun.

Set against the backdrop of 1947-67, SDT18 is a period drama that explores the historical and rugged terrains of Rayalaseema. This action-packed drama promises an engaging storyline rooted in history. Sai takes on this project after his impressive performances in 2023 which saw him deliver consecutive Rs 100 crore blockbusters like Virupaksha and the Pawan Kalyan starrer Bro.
“This film will be a grand production to be made on a tremendous budget,” revealed the producers in a statement. It further stated that Tej is set to play a powerful character in this high-energy, period-action drama. The initial shooting schedule is already in progress on an expansive set built specifically for the film. Additional information about the film will be revealed soon.
Sai Dharam Tej’s most recent appearance was in the short film Satya, opposite Colors Swathi, which was released in August 2023 and received positive reviews. Since then, he has not had any new releases. The upcoming project, tentatively titled SDT18, marks the eighteenth film in his career.
With a projected budget of Rs 100 crore, the film is set for pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam languages, marking a major milestone in Sai Dharam Tej’s career. Joining him in this ambitious venture is Aishwarya Lekshmi, who debuted in the Malayalam film industry in 2017 with Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela. She made her Tamil debut with Action in 2019 and her Telugu debut with Ammu in 2022.
