Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli Show Against Bangladesh; Ex-WI Legend Predicts: 'India Will be 100 Without Loss..'
rohit sharma, virat kohli show against bangladesh; ex-wi legend predicts: 'india will be 100 without loss..'
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have so far failed to click together as an opening partnership in the ongoing T20 World Cup. Either Rohit or Virat has been dismissed early on in the previous games and a partnership between the two is long due.
While the Men in Blue are unbeaten in the T20 World Cup, the only thing that has been missing so far, is a big knock from either Rohit or Virat's bat. In their next fixture, India lock horns with Bangladesh, looking to cement their place in the T20 World Cup semifinals.
Former West Indies great Brian Lara feels the Indian openers can stamp their authority over the Bangladesh bowlers and he made a bold prediction that Rohit and Virat will stitch together a 100-run stand against their neighbours.

While Rohit has scored just 76 runs in four innings in the World Cup so far including a fifty against Ireland, Virat has scored a paltry 29 runs. Lara predicted that the Indian duo can find their feet although they must be careful against Mustafizur Rahman.
"India is going to be 100 without loss in that match if they bat first, right? And even if they bat second, they are going to be 100 without loss. Of course, Fizz is an amazing bowler. He is going to come out and threaten but I just feel that India is just too much and that roller coaster and, you know, they just seem rolling every team at the moment and that's how I think it's going to happen," the veteran told Star Sports.
Brian Lara continued, "India is very concerned about the opening partnership, and they're going to fix that against Bangladesh. I don't think that Bangladesh is going to be a threat."

Not Great, But...: Brian Lara Makes Massive PREDICTION For Virat Kohli Amid Poor Form In T20 World Cup 2024
During the ongoing T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma has been troubled by left-arm pacers, getting dismissed all four times to left-handed seamers, a weakness Bangladesh too might look to exploit. Kohli on the other, found the going tough on the USA's pitches, got off to a good start against Afghanistan scoring 24 runs by gave away his wicket after a loose shot against Rashid Khan.
"I think the Indian team expects a good opening partnership. Everything is falling into place. This World Cup is a World Cup where no team is very dominant because of the state of the pitches. But if India can solve the opening problem, and it's not a problem, it's the two best T20 players in the world, they are not going to run right now," Lara added.
