FIIs net buy equities worth Rs 7,659 crore, DIIs sell Rs 3,606 crore as market hits new highs
FIIs/FPIs net bought equities worth Rs 7,659 crore while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) net sold equities worth Rs 3,606 crore on June 27,.
According to provisional data from the exchanges, FIIs bought Rs 26,887 crore and sold Rs 30,493 crore. Meanwhile, DIIs picked up Rs 30,849 crore in shares and offloaded equities worth Rs 23,191 crore in the session.
At close, the Sensex was up 568.93 points or 0.72 percent at 79,243.18, and the Nifty was up 175.70 points or 0.74 percent at 24,044.50.
BSE Sensex and Nfity50 indices hit new record highs of 79,396.03 and 24,087.45, respectively.
The Nifty Bank index also hit a fresh record high of 53,180.75.

On the market today, Vikram Kasat – Head of Advisory at Prabhudas Lilladher said, "The importance of an undercurrent is only felt when the tide turns. Index heavy constituents are doing well, but the broader market is starting to bleed. Staying extremely stock-specific and nimble is the current requirement as a trader. For today, it looks like IT stocks will lead the pack. Bajaj twins also look promising. The IT Index is breaking out today ahead of earnings season."
In the year so far, FIIs have net bought shares worth Rs 129,069
crore, while DIIs have bought shares worth Rs 229,667 crore at the same time.
