Are you ready to meet a Sarfira? Akshay Kumar is all set to take on another ride with Sudha Kongara's directorial venture Sarfira. Inspired by real events, the film is slated to arrive in theatres on July 12. Ahead of the major release, the makers unveiled the trailer today (June 18).

Taking to their social media handle, Akshay Kumar dropped the trailer and captioned, "Sapne woh nahi jo aap sote huye dekhte hain, sapne woh hote hain jo aapko sone hi nahi dete.

In the video, we also spot Suriya in a special appearance. Earlier, the Khiladi actor shared the post and wrote, “The story of a man who dared to dream big! And for me, this is a story, a character, a film, an opportunity of a lifetime! #Sarfira trailer out on 18th June. Catch Sarfira on 12th July, only in cinemas”.

Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film features Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan, and Seema Biswas in key roles. Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi penned the script with dialogues by Pooja Tolani.

Set in the startup and aviation sectors, Sarfira aims to inspire audiences to dream big despite societal norms. According to the statement, "Sarfira is all set to inspire the common man to dream big and to chase your dreams even if the world calls you crazy. Sarfira is a uniquely Indian story of grit, determination and jugood, of an underdog challenging the socio-economic fabric of a system entrenched in class, caste and power dynamics."

GV Prakash Kumar provides the musical score. Produced by Aruna Bhatia (Cape of Good Films), Suriya and Jyotika (2D Entertainment), and Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment), Sudha Kongara's previous works include the acclaimed Irudhi Suttru, Saala Khadoos, and Soorarai Pottru.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar was last seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Tiger Shroff, Alaya F and Manushi Chhillar. The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
