We finally have an answer to what TYPE 1 is! BTS' V upcoming project is a special photobook, which is meant just for ARMYs .

In case you missed out, on June 25, BIGHIT MUSIC took fans by surprise when they dropped a mysterious poster to announce V's new project. "V 'TYPE 1' Poster. Pre-order: 2024.6.27. 11AM (KST) Release: 2024.7.9. (KST)," the label captioned the post.

As buzz about the intriguing project grew across social media, BIGHIT MUSIC finally announced that the Slow Dancing singer would be releasing his first self-composed photobook on ARMY day. For the unversed, ARMY Day, which falls on July 9, marks the day when 'ARMY' was first coined as the official name of BTS' fandom.

BIHIT MUISC shared, "This photobook captures V’s moments of complete rest, revealing his comfortable and natural self as he takes a break from his busy schedule to enjoy some time alone. V participated in every step of the planning and production, from selecting the travel destination to deciding on the title and the photobook’s components."

Available in two versions, V's photobook is made with biodegradable soy ink and paper certified by The Forest Stewardship Council, an international non-profit organization that fights against illegal logging and deforestation to mitigate the effects of climate change and raise awareness for global warming.

On the work front

Before enlisting for military service, BTS' V made his solo debut with his first album in September last year. The album consisted of six songs, with Slow Dancing as its lead single. The singer also dropped collaborative track with UMI and appeared in IU's Love wins all music video. On March 15, BIGHIT MUSIC released V's new single FRI(END)S.
