Nifty & Sensex Hits Record Highs! All Broader Indices In Green, New IPO Listings & Trending Stocks

Hello, good afternoon. You're watching markets at noon on ET Now. I am Aneesha Jain, with me will be Vinnie Motiwala. And as of now, we are staring at fresh record highs for the Nifty as well as the Sensex. Sensex past the level of 78,000 and its a nice ring of 23,800 on the Nifty, clearly edging towards that 24,000 mark. Bank Nifty which was outperforming yesterday is a bit somber today. We are still quite above that 52,500 mark but not a runaway rally that we saw yesterday, a bit of a green and that too is heading towards that 53,000 mark. Good. The momentum right now on the small cap and the mid cap and ISIS too is so it's a sea of green across the board. Let's talk about individual stocks and sectors there. New listing on the bosses today, D development as well as Acme both saw good listing, but clearly it's a 60% gain coming in for D development. So that stock clearly seeing a lot of bias post listing as well on Acme, two opened up in the green. We are also watching out for a couple of initiations. GM Financial for instance, initiated covered on Shivalic Metals. So that stock is in focus. The island is something that Investec likes at this point of time. So that's the other stock on our radar. In terms of the cement sector, it's clearly abuzz. Call it the chatter around possible acquisitions or some other news, but this space is definitely active. India cements up almost in double digits, a 16% gain coming in. You also have Ramco as well as Ultratech as well as JK. All of those stocks firing away in the trading session. Large trades continue to happen on the exchanges. So whether it was Vedanta with that big block deal of almost 2 1/2 percent that was in focus. We also had Hindustan Foods that managed to, you know, change hands for almost 10 to 11% worth of equity. And Map My India were in. The promoter just came out with a clarification that they're not looking at any further stake sale. It was a small stake sale that the promoter did to take care of their personal needs and philanthropic needs as well. Muscat Doc is in focus that the company has got that Navaratna status. So that coveted status definitely has that stock excited and a lot of other defense names, Garden Reach for instance is in focus. Para Dynamics just came out with the analysts update yesterday. There was a fresh you know presentation which is uploaded. We are talking about a pipeline of almost 20,000 crore in terms of water inflows. So all of that is ordering well for this space. Prince Pipes Edelweiss has written a fresh note on it. So Novama has written and its bullish on the company. You also NMDC wherein a 90 day negative catalyst watch has been opened by city. So NMDC will come up for you on the screen. That was a bit under pressure two 2 1/2% lower, but we need more green versus red on the screen. Right now the frontline index is doing quite well and you have the momentum which is actually continuing on the upside. So all that is looking good on the screen today.
