Telugu Actor-comedian Ali Resigns From YSRCP Party

Famous Telugu actor Ali needs no introduction. He has remained in the headlines for his contribution to the Telugu film industry and Indian politics. During his long career in the film industry, he has gained respect and won the hearts of fans, which will stay engraved in the history of the film industry. Recently, in an announcement, actor Ali expressed his departure from politics. He bid farewell to the YSRCP party. According to the sources, the famous actor and comedian sent his resignation letter to the YSRCP party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Ali joined the YSRCP party on March 11, 2022. After his introduction to the party, Ali helped conduct campaigns across the state on behalf of the party. As a result of his hard work in the zone of politics, the party won the elections. His great contribution forced the party to think of assigning some posts to the veteran actor, but he eventually did not receive any. Ali was finally assigned as the electronic media advisor to the Andhra Pradesh government in the year 2022. He served for two years in that position. Ali did not receive any tickets from the YSR Congress Party to contest the 2024 elections.

Ali anticipated getting a seat as an MLA candidate in the 2024 elections. The party disappointed him. Hence, he did not campaign for the YSRCP party this year. This decision of his made him the centre of discussion. He entered politics in 1999 because of Nimmala Rama Naidu. Ali previously revealed that he was a member of the TDP party for twenty years before joining the YSRCP party in 2022.

Ali also expressed that his intention to enter politics was to serve the people and added that he had never belittled any other politician in his political career to this day. The revered comedian has made the decision to stay away from politics.

Ali has appeared in more than 1200 films throughout his career and has received many prestigious awards like the Nandi Awards in 1981 and 1996 for Best Child Actor and Special Jury Awards, respectively, and the Filmfare Awards in 2003 and 2005 for Best Comedian Award Telugu respectively.
