World Yoga Day 2024: Manasi Parekh says 'Even on busy days, I do Pranayam in the car on my way to meetings or shoots'
For actor and singer Manasi Parekh, yoga is not just a routine but a way of life. After practicing yoga for nearly 15 years, Parekh, who won hearts for her stellar performance in her latest Gujarati film Jhamkudi, believes yoga is crucial in maintaining her mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
Manasi shares, "Yoga has been integral to my life for almost 15 years. Not a day goes by when I don't practice some form of yoga. Even on busy days, I do Pranayam in the car on my way to meetings or shoots. When I have time in the morning, I practice Hatha yoga."
The Uri: The Surgical Strike actor further elaborates, "It's very important as a creative person to regulate the nervous system and ensure balance in our mind, body, and soul. No other practice brings about that balance like yoga," she explained.
Parekh credits her guru, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, for guiding her and her husband Parthiv Gohil in their yoga journey. "Sadhguru has been my guru, and my husband and I are huge followers of his teachings in yoga. Our yoga practice makes us sharper and more alert in our work."
During the demanding work schedules, Parekh found solace in yoga amidst the stress and hectic schedules. "Because of the stress and crazy schedules of shoots, yoga is the one thing I can hold on to. I just need my mat, and I can practice anywhere in the world. Nothing without yoga."
The Sumeet Sambhal Lega actor has also introduced yoga to her young daughter, believing it will benefit her future. "I've made sure my daughter learns yoga from a young age because it's only going to help her future."
