Sawan Somvar Vrat 2024: Know Auspicious Timings And Dates

The month of Sawan is considered auspicious and holy. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees offer special worship to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Sawan Somwar Vrat has a special significance in Sawan. The devotees of Lord Shiva eagerly await the month of Sawan. According to religious belief, if the devotees observe the vrat, all their wishes will be fulfilled. Astrologer, Numerologist and Astro Vastu expert Dr Gaurav Kumar Dixit says that the month of Shravan starts after Ashadh Purnima. This year, Ashadh Purnima starts on July 21. In this case, the month of Shravan starts the next day, that is July 22. The first Monday fast of the month of Shravan also falls on July 22. The Monday fasts, Shravan Shivratri, and Mangala Gauri fasts also have special significance in the month of Shravan.

The Sawan Somvar Vrat will give special blessings from Lord Shiva. There are a total of five Sawan Somvar Vrats this year. This holy month will end on August 19. It will start with Monday fasting and will also end with Monday fasting. This year, the month of Shravan will start in Sawan Nakshatra and Preeti Yoga.

Preeti Yoga will be performed on the first day of Sawan month from morning till 5:58 pm. Shravan Nakshatra will last from morning till 10:21 pm. The dates of Sawan Somvar Vrat are as follows:

1. First Sawan Monday fast – July 22

2. Second Sawan Monday fast – July 29

3. Third Sawan Monday fast – August 5

4. Fourth Sawan Monday fast – August 12

5. Fifth Sawan Monday fast – August 19

Mangala Gauri Vrat Date

This year, there will be 4 Mangala Gauri Vrat in Sawan. This fast will be observed on Tuesday. The first Mangala Gauri Vrat will be observed on July 23. The second will be on July 30, the third on August 6 and the fourth on August 13.

Shravan Shivratri Date

This year, Shravan Shivratri falls on August 2, 2024, which falls on Friday.
