Is Russia capable of big breakthroughs on front: Stoltenberg provides NATO's assessment

Russia does not have the capabilities or strength to achieve big breakthroughs on the front in the war against Ukraine, states NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with AFP.

"We don't have any indications or reason to believe that Russia has the capabilities, the strength to make big breakthroughs," emphasized Stoltenberg.

He added that Russian forces are most likely to continue attempts to exert pressure through their air strikes.

"But, our best estimate is that they will not be able to make any big breakthroughs," clarified the Secretary General.

Russia is losing its advantage

Just yesterday, June 26, a source from RBC-Ukraine in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the disparity in artillery use between Russia and Ukraine has more than halved. Currently, it stands at 1:3 compared to 1:7 at the beginning of 2024.

Additionally, on June 22, the spokesperson for the operational-strategic group Khortytsia, Nazar Voloshyn, noted that Russia is ceasing combat operations in the Kharkiv region.

The enemy is partially withdrawing its units as they have become combat ineffective due to clashes with Ukrainian defenders.
