This Morning star gets huge new tattoo on his neck for heartwarming reason

This Morning star Gok Wan has revealed his new tattoo as he paid tribute to his nearest and dearest.

The fashion guru and occasional chef on the popular ITV daytime magazine show showed off his new ink, which covers most of the side of his neck, in dedication to his loved ones.

Gok, 48, decided to get a poignant image of a flock of birds tattoo and shared the heartwarming tribute to his one million Instagram followers on Tuesday afternoon, with his neck still red following the needlework.

He wrote: “Today this happened for all the people in my life whom I love to help brings us a lifetime of optimism, gratitude and hope… thanks @illytattoo for your fine lines and detail.”

His loyal fans flocked to the comments section to heap praise on the new tattoo.

One person replied: “I love this. You made my life bearable during the pandemic. We purchased disco lights and danced to your kitchen music and we are still doing it now. Thank you we love you and appreciate all you do.”

Another added: “I absolutely love this tattoo so beautiful,” while a third commented: “I love this tattoo and it’s meaning to you how wonderful xxx.”

A fourth follower concluded: “This is one of the loveliest tattoos I’ve seen in terms of sentiment. Beautiful just like you x.”

Gok was called out for a comment he made on This Morning when he sprung a surprise on an unsuspecting viewer during an episode last week.

Ahead of a Mother’s Day surprise, Gok and his ‘glam squad’ carried out a special makeover for Jackie after she was nominated by her daughter Nicky.

Regular host Phillip Schofield explained: “Nicky has brought Jackie to London and told her it’s for an early Mother’s Day present. They are having breakfast at a hotel down and Gok is there ready to surprise Jackie.”

As the camera panned to the fashion guru, he said: “The glamour of my life, I’m currently stood in an industrial corridor in a hotel about to surprise Jackie.

“She thinks she has come to London with her daughter Nicky to watch Loose Women but no, we’re going to surprise her with the mother of all makeovers for Mother’s Day.”

As he whisked Jackie away for the surprise, Gok said “we’ve got so much work to do”, which did not sit well with the viewers.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “What’s Gok trying to say. ‘We’ve got so much work to do’ lol she’s still lovely looking. She’s not a hideous looking monster. Lol #thismorning.”

Another commented: “‘We’ve got so much work to do’ cheeky bugger Gok!! #thismorning.”
