Unfortunately, people sometimes get sick or injured while on vacation. Although the situation is bad enough for an adult, it’s even worse if children or grandchildren need medical attention.
While they can’t prevent illness or injury, a group has announced they now make it easy for people to receive medical treatment while on vacation at Disney parks. That’s because the group, Doctor2me, now offers “hotel house calls” for people at hotels in and around Disneyland in Anaheim, California; Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California; and Universal Studios Hollywood and Disney World in Florida’s Lake Buena Vista area.
“Nobody wants to get sick or injured while on vacation and it’s even more challenging when a child needs care,” Inga Zhibkova, co-founder of Doctor2me, told TravelAwaits. “For the millions of people who visit Disneyland, Disney World, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Universal Studios Hollywood each year, Doctor2me can now come to hotels — both on-site and off-site — so visitors of any age don’t have to scramble to find an urgent care or sit for hours waiting in an emergency room.”

How The Service Works
Doctor2me explains that since its team of doctors are on-call 24/7, they can be at most hotels in the Anaheim and Universal City area in California and the Lake Buena Vista area in Florida in a matter of hours. All someone who is sick or injured needs to do is schedule a doctor’s appointment online first.
The doctors even go directly to a hotel room.
Doctor2me also explains that it has “simple, up-front pricing,” and that there are “no surprise fees.” What’s more, Doctor2me services are reimbursable by many insurance plans. Depending on plan details and deductibles, however, the group recommends checking with insurance providers to verify coverage.
Types Of Doctors And Services
Doctor2me’s doctors have a wide degree of specialties. They include internists, pediatricians, OB/GYNs, orthopedists, neurologists, and other specialists so the appointment can be scheduled with the appropriate type of doctor.
The doctors can diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses, ranging from cold & flu, bronchitis, and ear pain/infection to urinary tract infections and kidney stones. Importantly, they can also treat burns, sprains, and cuts that require stitches.
Finally, and equally critical, the doctors can also send follow-up services such as x-rays, blood work, and prescriptions to the patient’s hotel as well.
