Girls’ Generation has hit a new milestone on YouTube! On June 22, around midnight KST, their music video for the Korean version of "The Boys" surpassed 300 million views. This achievement marks the group's second music video to reach this number, following "Gee."
Released on October 19, 2011, "The Boys" reached 300 million views in just over 12 years, 8 months, and 3 days, making it the fastest Girls’ Generation video to hit this mark. This breaks their previous record set by "Gee," which took approximately 13 years, 4 months, and 15 days to reach the same milestone.
About Girls’ Generation
Formed by SM Entertainment, Girls’ Generation is a legendary South Korean girl group consisting of eight members: Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. Originally a nine-member group, Jessica departed in September 2014. Known as "The Nation's Girl Group" in South Korea, they are celebrated for their significant influence and numerous accolades in the K-pop industry.
Debuting on August 5, 2007, with "Into the New World," Girls' Generation rose to fame in 2009 with “Gee.” This hit song dominated KBS's Music Bank for nine consecutive weeks and was named Melon's most popular song of the 2000s.
