Kyle Larson seeks another strong performance at Nashville Superspeedway when he participates in the 2024 Ally 400 on Sunday. Larson made his way to Victory Lane in the NASCAR Cup Series' debut at Nashville in 2021, one of his 10 wins en route to the series championship, and was fourth at the track the following year before finishing fifth last season. The 31-year-old is tied for first in points (620) and wins (three) while leading all drivers with eight top-five finishes, including a fourth-place at New Hampshire last weekend.
Larson is the 9-2 favorite in the latest 2024 Ally 400 odds. Denny Hamlin is 11-2, Martin Truex Jr. is 7-1 and Ross Chastain, who won this race last year, is 15-2. Christopher Bell rounds out the top five 2024 NASCAR at Nashville contenders at 8-1. Sunday's race is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. ET. For the 2024 Ally 400, Taranto is high on Denny Hamlin, who is listed at 11-2. The three-time Daytona 500 winner shares the lead in Cup Series victories this season with three, having made his way to Victory Lane at Bristol, Richmond and Dover. The latter win began a streak of five straight top-five finishes that preceded his current stretch of three races in which he was 24th or worse.
Hamlin also is tied for second with seven top-five finishes and is looking to reach double figures for a 10th consecutive year. The 43-year-old Floridian recorded one at Nashville last season, when he came in third place after having led 81 laps. Hamlin led 114 laps at the track in 2022 before finishing sixth and posted a top-10 in each of his five Xfinity Series starts there.
Another surprise: Taranto is fading Chastain, who is listed at 15-2. The 31-year-old native of the Sunshine State has been one of the top drivers during the Cup Series' brief history at Nashville. Chastain followed a runner-up performance in the inaugural race in 2022 with a fifth-place finish and made his way to Victory Lane last year.
However, Chastain has yet to capture a checkered flag this year after posting two wins each of the previous two seasons. He has recorded only two top-five finishes, seven top-10s and a 12.3 average finish in 18 starts this campaign.
