CEO of Arizona Iced Tea Promises to Not Raise Prices
We're successful, we're debt free, we own everything. Why? Why have people who are having a hard time paying their rent have to pay more for our drink? All right, this guy rules. Look, I'm not saying you should go around standing for CEOs, but when you see someone who genuinely seems proud of keeping their products affordable, it's hard not to admire it. The same energy as the Costco founder who threatened to destroy anyone who dared to raise the price of their signature Buck 50 hot dog combo. Of course, for some businesses it's a matter of pride. Others have their hands forced by popular opinion. All over the Internet you're seeing videos of outrageously high-priced fast food orders and huge bills from mid sized grocery store halls. And here's the thing, a lot of that viral content is bullshit. Spread by bad actors who want to blame the current administration for high prices. And look, I'm not going to lie and say things haven't gotten more expensive. I'm just saying put your blame where it belongs. High prices and shrink inflation are a choice. They're a way to boost profits to satisfy the insatiable greed of VC money and powerful shareholders. And look, now we're seeing $5 meal deals and lower prices on thousands of items at big box retail stores and pharmacies. Why? Because the corpus realized they pushed it too far. It's the very definition of around and find out. You did that you did, and as a man who obviously appreciates a double cheeseburger meal, all I can say is thanks.
