Classic Legends teases new bike launch on Aug 15: Is it BSA Gold Star 650?
Classic Legends, the manufacturers of Jawa and Yezdi branded motorcycles in India, has teased a new motorcycle which is slated to make its debut on August 15 this year. The Mahindra-owned bikemaker has sent us a block-your-date invite which mentions something “big, bold, and authentically British” is going to be unveiled on this date.
Attached with the invite is an image of an engine which isn’t familiar to the 334cc unit available in the current Jawa and Yezdi models. Therefore, it can be safely assumed that Classic Legends would in fact unveil the BSA Gold Star in India. For the uninitiated, Mahindra & Mahindra bought the BSA brand in 2021.
BSA Gold Star in India?
BSA, or Birmingham Small Arms, was a defunct British motorcycle brand which was brought to life by Classic Legends with the BSA Gold Star being the first model under this brand. First unveiled in 2022, BSA Gold Star has been on sale in multiple international markets for some time now. In fact, test mules of the Gold Star have been spied on Indian roads on several occasions previously.

A proper modern classic, BSA Gold Star will directly take on Royal Enfield Interceptor. We expect Classic Legends to price the Gold Star around Rs 3.00-3.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
