He accused his opponents and political distractors of concocting fake statements to fuel ethnic clashes and destabilise the peaceful county.

"It has come to our attention that unscrupulous individuals are consistently producing and disseminating fake statements attributed to the governor of Uasin Gishu. These false statements are intended to mislead the public and undermine the county of Uasin Gishu," read the governor's statement.

The county boss asked the public to only believe information shared through the county government's official communication channels to avoid being duped by individuals determined to cause chaos.

"We wish to remind the public that all official communication from the governor's office are disseminated through formal channels. Any information not released through these channels should be considered unverified and potentially false," added the governor.
