The Waller County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to find the person or persons responsible.

According to the sheriff’s office, a call came in at around 8:30 a.m. Thursday about the dead horse on Jones Road south of Whitt Loggins Road. Investigators said the horse had been shot in the head and had its legs tied with a rope. They also said it had been dragged onto the side of the road.
The Waller County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help. They want to hear from you if you saw a truck pulling a trailer or horse trailer around that time or if you know anything about this incident.
