This certainly gives India the psychological edge and they will fancy their chances to win against their neighbours.
Bangladesh's problems are at plenty, especially at the top of their batting order. The Bangla Tigers will be thankful to their middle-order and their bowlers who have carried the team's campaign so far and have allowed them to qualify for the Super 8 stage. Prior to the marquee clash, the Bangladesh skipper was asked about the batting woes of his team to which he had a very confused answer.
It is difficult to say why we are not able to play. I think everyone has the capability, people have played well in different places in the past. But I do not have an answer to why this is not happening. Everyone has the freedom to play their natural game and they will try to play as they want, but somehow it is not happening, said Najmul Hossain Shanto.
Bangladesh have only played one Super 8 game against Australia so far and it took a massive hit on their net run rate. The Bangla Tigers currently have a NRR of -2.471 and even if they manage to outplay India, they will have to put in some heroic effort to better their run rate too.
