Rajinikanth to collaborate with Karthik Subbaraj after 'Coolie'
Rajinikanth is all set to start shooting his film 'Coolie' with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film marks the 171st project of the actor, and while he is yet to officially sign up for his next project, the new buzz is that the legendary superstar will be collaborating with director Karthik Subbaraj. Rajinikanth earlier worked with Karthik Subbaraj for the film 'Petta' which grossed over Rs 200 crore at the box office.
News 18 reports stated that after 'Coolie' there is a possible collaboration between the actor and director for the second time. Official announcements and reports are pending. Meanwhile, the actor is said to share the screen space with actor Sathyaraj after 40 years in 'Coolie'.
On the work front, the 'Jailer' actor will be seen on the big screens with the film 'Vettaiyan', which is set for its release in theaters on October 10. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the movie stars Rajinkanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Rana Daggubati. Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, and Manju Warrier are in lead roles. The music for it is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is currently in post-production, and the shooting for it was wrapped up last month. Rajinikanth will soon start the shoot for 'Coolie' after he completes dubbing for this film.
The actor is also said to appear in the sequel to Nelson Dilipkumar's 'Jailer', which was released last year and grossed over Rs 600 crore at the box office. The scripting for the film has already begun.
