Canadiens select C Logan Sawyer 78th overall at NHL Draft

The Montreal Canadiens continued their run on forwards at the 2024 NHL Draft.
Montreal selected centre Logan Sawyer 78th overall in the third round after taking forwards with their previous three picks.
Sawyer, 18, played for the Brooks Bandits in the AJHL and BCHL last season, tallying 35 goals and 43 points in 59 regular season games. He also picked up seven goals and eight assists in the BCHL playoffs.
So far at the draft, Montreal has taken forwards Ivan Demidov, Michael Hage and Aatos Koivu.
