Pickford hails England's 'golden boy' Jude Bellingham
You know, you got two superstars, Jude and Harry, and come up with the goods and dude, Golden Boy again with the overhead kick to keep us in the game, keep us in the tournament and but we never see a die. And that's what it was last night and a roller coaster. What we got over the line. You must have thought it had gone. Did you think it had gone? No, we knew we was going to have that one chance to disallow goal, kind of defer to a little bit. But we kept going. We kept creating chances and. Yeah, we were before, right at the end. And you know, that team spirit, that togetherness shows character, people coming off the bench, putting a shift in. And that's what the squad mentality is about. Yeah, it was a bit of relief, but emotion, You know how passionate I am as a lad. I wear the shirt of pride. And just all the fans behind the goal, how much it meant to them as a country. And there's a lot of work to do. We, we want to make the nation proud. We want to make ourselves proud. We want to make our families proud. So. To win a not out game against Slovakia, which is a very tough opponent, to go to keep in the hat and to play against Switzerland Saturday, that's what it meant.
