Venmo is down for users worldwide, leaving thousands unable to make digital transactions with the app.
DownDetector's outage map shows Dallas and Chicago are taking the brunt, while other cities like San Francisco and Boston may be experiencing problems.
Venmo lets users send and receive money through its app, and it is considered one of the most popular of its kind.
The service has more than 91 million users, which is predicted to reach over 97 million by 2025 - and 100 million users the year following.
The typical Venmo user makes five transactions per month, with an average transaction amount of $65 to $75.
Users hit with the outage have flocked to Elon Musk's X to share their frustrations and see if others are experiencing problems.
Rick Matthews posted: 'Is @Venmo down? I've never had any issues transferring money out until today and now my app just hangs when I try to choose an account to transfer into. Folks on Reddit saying the same thing.'
