Anthony Richardson’s agent debunks concerns about QB’s shoulder

It’s no secret the Indianapolis Colts’ season hinges on the right shoulder of second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson.
But after Richardson didn’t participate during the final practice of mandatory minicamp and instead threw left-handed during some drills because of shoulder soreness, many wondered if he was suffering a setback in his recovery after having surgery to repair the AC joint in his throwing shoulder.
Richardson's agent, Deiric Jackson of Legacy Sports Advisors, did his best to quiet that speculation on Thursday when he posted a series of videos to social media showing the 22-year-old QB dunking a basketball and throwing passes, all without any issue.
Richardson admitted earlier this month that he was experiencing some soreness in his shoulder after the first two days of minicamp — something he said wasn’t unusual for him during his rehabilitation process following his surgery.
“I’m good, just a little soreness,” Richardson said, via ESPN’s Stephen Holder. “I’ve been dealing with soreness since I started throwing, it’s just my shoulder. But it’s hard to listen to the trainers sometimes they’re like, ‘No, you’ve got to sit out for a day.’ I don’t want to sit out, but it’s part of the health journey.”
Richardson tore the AC joint in his right shoulder in Week 4 of last season against the Tennessee Titans. He had surgery on Oct. 24 to repair the damage, and he’s been slowly adding more and more to his plate as he works his way back to full strength.
He resumed throwing a few months ago, and he’s had to dial it back a few times before.
The former No. 4 overall pick acknowledged he may have pushed himself a little too hard during the second minicamp practice.
Richardson threw for 577 yards, ran for another 136 yards and scored seven total touchdowns with one interception during his abbreviated rookie season.
