How Brian Daboll and the Giants are rebuilding ahead of the 2024 season | ESPN.com
Now, Daboll enters a critical third season with 11 new coaches on staff, including an overhaul of the strength and conditioning department. He takes control of an offense that will be run by Jones, who is coming off a season-ending right ACL injury and will be without Barkley for the first time in his career. Daboll is the first Giants head coach since Tom Coughlin to see a third season, but his success or failure in 2024 will likely determine his future.
Daboll has said this offseason he's looked at his scheduling processes, the way the team practiced, structure of meetings and construction of their leadership group. Change, like more team drills this spring and fewer players on the sideline, was evident. There seems to be an increased emphasis on getting players football-ready by the start of the season.

Andrew Thomas, offensive tackle, New York Giants, fifth season
Thomas was on my list last year. Rarely do you see a stalwart anchor tackle in a big market who has had second-team All-Pro honors not have a Pro Bowl to his name. Thomas, unfortunately, was injured last year and the Giants’ offensive line suffered massively from an optical standpoint due to a few really bad performances. Like the Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense, I think the Giants’ offensive line is in for a big perception shift thanks to a coaching change. Evan Neal and John Michael-Schmitz Jr. are highly drafted young players who need a lifeline and must collectively improve in order to buoy this offense. If that happens, a lot of the credit also needs to go to Thomas.

2024 NFL linebacker unit rankings: Jets and 49ers take the top spots | PFF
5. New York Giants. The Giants are solid at their starting linebacker spots. Bobby Okereke’s 78.9 PFF grade ranked 13th at the position in 2023, and Micah McFadden came in at No. 46 in his second season in the league. They also have Isaiah Simmons, who hasn’t lived up to his billing as a top-10 draft pick but was a useful depth player for the team last year, earning an 82.7 PFF coverage grade on 203 snaps.
If Daniel Jones fails to deliver in prove-it season, what are Giants’ QB options in 2025? | The Athletic
The Giants are far more likely to go the draft route if they move on from Jones. And the Giants’ projected win total of 6.5 has them in line for another top pick.
A potential benefit for the Giants is that some of the other teams with the lowest win total projections — Patriots, Broncos, Commanders, Vikings — took quarterbacks in the first round this year, so there could be less competition for the top 2025 prospects. The downside is the early evaluations have pegged the 2025 quarterback class as significantly weaker than the 2024 crop. But things can change, so here’s an early look at the top quarterback prospects in next year’s draft.

Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes, Cardinals' Kyler Murray poised to improve with new supporting cast in 2024 CBSSports.com
A year ago I thought Daniel Jones could take the next step in his game after the Giants added two downfield targets in Darren Waller and Jalin Hyatt. I'm not making the same mistake twice! Giants first-round pick Malik Nabers is obviously better than both those players, but it's hard to endorse Jones after he took a big step back last year. If Jones does take a step forward again it'll be because Nabers helps him stretch the field. Jones had just 10 completions traveling 20-plus air yards in 2022, tied for 30th in the NFL. Nabers had 19 catches on those deep balls last year at LSU, second in the nation behind Rome Odunze (23). He should also help a Giants team that was 26th in yards after catch per reception last year.
