Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume has slammed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese saying Senator Fatima Payman directly “defying him” is the “sign of a weak prime minister”.

Ms Hume’s comments come after Senator Payman broke caucus rules that initially resulted in a suspension from one fortnight of sittings.
Ms Payman has been ‘indefinitely suspended’ from the Labor Caucus, after appearing on morning TV.
Speaking to the ABC’s insiders, she declared she would not hesitate to cross the floor again to recognise a Palestinian state.
