Ed Davey: The NHS is on it's knees and we have to save it
Well, the health service is on its knees. It's a real crisis that conservatives completely demolished it really, and we've got to save it. And that means we need to start immediately. So next month, July, when Parliament gets back, we need an emergency health and care budget. We can't wait till the autumn. Everyone knows that having problems getting a GP, the care systems and a mess social cares not there for so many people. We have to start straight away. It's why the Liberal Democrats put it right at the centre of our manifesto and why we're calling today for an emergency health and care budget. If you vote the Liberal Democrat and get a Liberal Democrat MP, yes you'll get a champion for your community, but you get a voice in Parliament campaigning for urgent action on the health service in our care system.
