Ex Dallas Cowboys' Offensive Lineman in Buffalo: 'Ready to Dominate!'
As the Dallas Cowboys prepare for training camp hoping for help along the offensive line from a couple of rookies, one of their former veterans is crowing about a return to the NFL in dominating fashion.
Ex Dallas Cowboys' Offensive Lineman in Buffalo: 'Ready to Dominate!'
“I came here to dominate and I’m going to let everything else take care of itself,” Collins told Buffalo Bills reporters this week. "I’m going to show up every day and go to work. Help the young guys, and do whatever they ask me. I’m super grateful and I just look forward to giving Bills Mafia everything left in me. I’m ready to go ball. I’m ready to go dominate.”
While the Cowboys will rely on rookies Tyler Guyton and Cooper Beebe to protect quarterback Dak Prescott this season, Collins is attempting to re-launch his career alongside Josh Allen in Buffalo.
Collins, who turns 31 next month, was once the right-tackle pillar of a Cowboys' offensive line that opened holes for Ezekiel Elliott to win two rushing titles in 2016 and 2018. He was released in 2022, and signed as a free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals.
He suffered a serious knee injury late in that season, and missed almost all of last season. The Cowboys signed him to their practice squad in January, but that stint lasted only 12 days before the season ended and he was again released.
Collins signed with the Bills in April and is expected to compete for the right tackle starting job.
