Kerry Washington Says “Knives Out 3” Feels Like 'Summer Camp for Movie-Making': 'I'm So Honored' (Exclusive)
'Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery' is slated to hit Netflix in 2025

Kerry Washington is ready to get her murder mystery on!
In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE about joining Winx Health, a Gen Z sexual and vaginal health brand, the actress, 47, also opens up about starring in the upcoming third movie in the Knives Out film series.
Detailing that it's "so exciting" getting to star in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, Washington says, "It really feels like summer camp for movie-making."
"I'm just so really honored that [director Rian Johnson] came to me for this role, ... and I'm thrilled that I'm going to get to work with some old friends like Glenn Close, who I've known forever ... and also Josh Brolin is an old friend, and some new friends, like Josh O'Connor."
"So I think it's going to be really, really a lot of fun," adds the Scandal alum.

Knives Out 3 is currently in the works. This sequel was first announced in March 2021, when Netflix bought the rights to the murder mystery franchise in a reported $400 million deal that included a second and third film.
Daniel Craig is slated to reprise his role as detective Benoit Blanc in the upcoming film, which follows Knives Out (2019) and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022).

New cast members joining the cast alongside Washington include Fleabag actor Andrew Scott and Priscilla actress Cailee Spaeny.
The film is still in the very early stages, and Washington tells PEOPLE she can't spoil if filming starts soon or has started already. "The NDA on this one is so tight. I'm terrified to say anything," she says.
Knives Out 3 is slated to hit Netflix in 2025.
