Indian woman dries clothes on balcony of 5-star resort in Dubai. Hotel responds

A video of an Indian woman drying clothes on the balcony of her room in a 5-star hotel in Dubai has surfaced on the internet. Pallavi Venkatesh, an Instagram user, went for a family holiday to Dubai and was staying at Atlantis, The Palm.

In the video that she posted on Instagram, Pallavi's mother was seen drying clothes on the balcony of their room at the beach resort. "Moms just momming at Palm Atlantis," reads the caption of the post that she shared.

As the video went viral with over 11 million views, the official account of Atlantis The Palm also responded saying, "Mom duties. We hope you enjoyed your stay! (We include a retractable drying cord in every bathroom, so that you can dry your clothing over the bath)."

Several social media users, in the meantime, slammed the woman but others defended her.

One of the users said: "This is bad manners in other countries. Respect the rules of the hotel that you are staying in."

In the woman's defence, a user said: "The hotel literally commented and people are still crying."

And then, this: "Everyone in the UK does it. It's a natural way to dry clothes. Stop hating."
