Fans of Suriya can finally rejoice, as the makers of his upcoming film Kanguva have announced the release date.

Directed by Siruthai Siva, Kanguva is alll set to release on October 10.

Sharing a brand new poster, which features Suriya in the look of a warrior, the poster read "cinemas…10-10-2024 worldwide.” While caption of the post read , “Dear all…It’s 10th October 2024.

Kanguva to clash with Jigra

Alia Bhatt'a Jigra is releasing on October 11, making it a box office clash between the two films. The movie is produced by Alia's home-banner Eternal Sunshine Production and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and also features actor Vedang Raina in a key role.

Abour Kanguva

Directed by Siruthai Siva Kanguva is billed to be an action-adventure film, with portions set 1500 years in the past.

Apart from Suriya, the cast of Kanguva also includes Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravikumar and BS Avinash. The film marks Bobby Deol and Disha Patani's hindi film debut.

With cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy and editing by Nishadh Yusuf, the period film has music composed by National award-winning composer, Devi Sri Prasad. According to reports, Kanguva is all set to release in 38 languages in 3D and IMAX versions. Kanguva is produced by K E Gnanavel Raja, V Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banners of Studio Green and UV Creations.

It has to be noted that Kanguva will mark actor Suriya’s first release in two years. He was last seen in a cameo role as Rolex, in Kamal Haasan-starter Vikram. The actor is currently busy shooting for Suriya 44 which is directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
