Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says it will be interesting how the government “plays” the Julian Assange saga.
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is set to accept a plea deal from the United States, allowing him to return to Australia.
“He’s not some sort of national hero,” Mr Clennell said.
“He was an Australian citizen who was detained.
“He probably did some initial good things with journalists in revealing alleged war crimes, but then … he went over the top and just dumped out all this information, potentially exposing intelligence sources.
