Randeep Hooda shares details about his wedding with Lin Laishram in Manipur; says he feels 'settled' now
Randeep Hooda, reflecting on his recent marriage to his Manipuri bride Lin Laishram, shared on TOI Dialogues that married life has brought him a sense of contentment and stability. "It is treating me well. I am in a better space," he expressed with a smile.
Speaking about the changes since tying the knot, Randeep mentioned he now prioritizes going home on time and opting for home-cooked meals, which align with the values he embraced during his wedding celebrations. Recalling the beautiful wedding photos that circulated on social media, he emphasized his journey of adapting to his wife's cultural traditions. "It is my wife's culture—I didn't know about it," he admitted, noting the warmth and honor extended by his wife's family to their guests, including his own family and friends.
Describing the wedding feast, Randeep fondly recalled the vaishnav (vegetarian) cuisine served, highlighting its distinct flavors and spiritual significance. "They have a horse god—I even got to ride a horse," he shared, marveling at the unique rituals that eschew fire in favor of tulsi, and the groom's stationary role during the pheras (wedding vows). Reflecting on his mother's emotional presence during the ceremonies, he remarked, "My mother was sitting outside the mandap—she was crying and laughing at the same time."
Grateful for the love and acceptance received, Randeep expressed humility, acknowledging the positive reception of their union and the exposure it brought to Manipuri culture through their shared joy.
