Actor Tovino Thomas, best known across the country for his superhero film Minnal Murali, will next play the lead in a film called Avaran that is to be directed by Shilpa Alexander. On Monday, the actor took to his social media handles to release the first look poster of the film. Also, a motion poster of the film was released on the occasion.

Tovino Announces Project

On his Instagram page, Tovino wrote, “Thrilled to announce one of my next film Avaran, helmed by Shilpa Alexander and scripted by the veteran Benny P Nayarambalam. Jinu Abraham will bankroll the project under the banner Jiinu Abraham Innovation. A big thank you!! to our Mammooka , Lalettan , Rajuettan and Manju Chechi for sharing our announcement whole heartedly. The poster of Avaran has Tovino Thomas seated on a platform with a wild boar, peeking from behind him. The actor seems to sport a look that suggests that he is in an inebriated state. What is more interesting about the poster is that it has weapons being showcased but in a condition that they cannot be used. For instance, there is a double-barrelled rifle, which seems twisted and which has a rose attached to the trigger. Similarly, there is a dagger, whose handle is entwined with barbed wire, making it impossible to hold it.

The story and screenplay for the film is to be penned by Benny P Nayarambalam while cinematography will be by Jomon T John. Editing for the film is by Shameer Muhammad and music is by Jakes Bejoy. Art direction for the film will be by Shajie Naduvil and costumes will be by Sameera Saneesh.
