Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most successful directors in Tamil cinema, and he has signed his next with Rajinikanth. Lokesh Kanagaraj's film with Rajinikanth has been titled 'Coolie', and the film's title teaser was unveiled by the makers earlier. Lokesh Kanagaraj and his team initially planned to give a 'Padayappa' kind of look to the actor in 'Coolie'. But the director couldn't recreate it as expected, and he altered the actor's look. However, Lokesh Kanagaraj has managed to give Rajinikanth a lovable look, and the actor's vintage look fancies the fans. 'Coolie' costume designer Praveen Raja revealed it in his latest YouTube chat with Cinema Vikatan.
'Coolie' is reported to be a periodic gangster drama that focuses on gold smuggling. Rajinikanth will be playing a negative character in Lokesh Kanagaraj, and it's going to be a fresh avatar for the Superstar actor. 'Coolie' shooting was supposed to begin on June 10, but the delay in the film's pre-production pushed the film's shoot to a later date. The shooting of 'Coolie' is now planned to begin in July, and it's going to be packed days of shooting for Rajinikanth and his team.
Rajinikanth will be next seen on big screens in 'Vettaiyan', which is directed by TJ Gnanavel, and he will soon begin dubbing for his portions in the film. 'Vettaiyan' is slated to release in theaters this October, and the makers aim for Dussehra weekend.
