Actor Lee Sun Kyun's posthumous film titled Project Silence is here. The makers finally announced its release date leaving the fans emotional. The Parasite star who passed away last year, left behind two unreleased films, one of them being Project Silence.

Project Silence will release date of July 12. The date was revealed along with an intense trailer and posters on Thursday. The disaster thriller follows the story of people grappling to survive during an apocalypse. They are trapped on a foggy airport bridge which has chain-reaction car crashes. With military experimental dogs going out-of-control on the collapsing bridge, the film looks like an edge-of-seat thriller.

Its two posters shows the movie's characters caught in security camera footage as they confront the unprecedented disaster. Sun Kyun plays Jung Won, an administrator of the Security Office who is at the airport to send off his daughter to study abroad.

Joo Ji Hoon plays a tow truck driver, who is enroute the accident scene, while Dr. Yang (Kim Hee Won) is the senior researcher behind the failed secret mission called 'Project Silence'. The poster also has the text with a red warning sign that reads, "All survivors become the target."

Its trailer shows the survivors navigating the life-threatening situation. The intense video is loaded with spectacular visual effects. There's collapsing of bridge, helicopter crashes, gas explosions, and all this with a dense fog engulfing around.

Lee Sun Kyun also has The Land of Happiness set to release this year. It follows a soldier who gets entangled in an event that shakes up modern day Korea and a lawyer who fights to save him. Sun Kyun will be seen playing a soldier in the film.

Lee Sun Kyun was found dead in a car in Seoul in December 2023. According to the police, it was a case of suicide. It came while he was embroiled in an investigation for alleged drug use. The sad news had sent shock waves across the Korean entertainment industry and the country.

In a career spanning over two decades, Sun Kyun had been part of several remarkable projects. The 48-year-old actor was tagged as a highly underrated actor who has left behind titles like Coffee Prince, Behind the White Tower, Pasta, Golden Time and My Mister. His popular films include Paju, Helpless, All About My Wife, A Hard Day, Night and Day, Oki's Movie and Nobody's Daughter Haewon. He was also a part of Oscar winning film Parasite.
