Spain ease past Georgia to reach Euro 2024 quarter-finals

Spain came from behind to beat Georgia 4-1 on Sunday at Euro 2024 as Luis de la Fuente’s charges continued their fine form from the group stages into the last 16.

A Robin Le Normand own goal gave tournament surprise packages Georgia the lead but Rodri then arrowed in an equaliser in the 39th minute, before Fabian Ruiz completed the turnaround six minutes after half-time and Nico Williams and Dani Olmo ensured Spain’s place in the quarters against Germany.
