How to apply for overseas jobs

The state asked the youth to apply for the vacancies through the National Employment Authority portal.

Labour and Skills Development Principal Secretary (PS) Shadrack Mwadime asked young men and women to take advantage of the available jobs, emphasizing a promising job avenue for Kenyans overseas.

Mwadime said the youth were sceptical about jobs abroad after encountering scammers previously. However, he noted that the government's job postings were genuine.

"There are numerous job opportunities emerging abroad, but when you try to advise a young person, they perceive these as scams. Many youths have been deceived by fraudsters and lost their money. This loss of confidence may explain their reluctance to pursue online job opportunities," Mwadime said, as reported by My Gov.

What did William Ruto say about jobs?

President William Ruto has faced difficult decisions after widespread opposition to the Finance Bill 2024, which he believed would transform the country.

Speaking during a roundtable with digital media in which TUKO.co.ke was present, Ruto revealed he had sacrificed significant sleep to consider ways to improve the lives of young people.

The president sympathised with the youth unemployment crisis, recalling his experience of not finding employment until his election to Parliament.

He expressed his dedication to youth programs to provide income and livelihood opportunities.

How will the gov't create jobs?

Ruto said the government plans to expand broadband services and digital hubs to bolster the country’s IT-enabled services and global competitiveness.

He reiterated that the government’s commitment to digital skills training and job creation in the IT sector promised a brighter future for Kenya’s youthful workforce.

Ruto appealed to investors to collaborate with the government in its programme of installing digital hubs.
