7 Patriots free agents are still looking for their next team

At this point in the NFL offseason, most free agents have found their next home or decided they want to hang up their cleats and call it a career.

After organized team activities and mandatory minicamp, many players remain on the market, and seven last played for the New England Patriots during the 2023 season.

With training camp still over a month away, here's a look at New England's free agents who can still sign with any team at any point.

CB J.C. Jackson

Jackson played for New England from 2018-21 and then returned in 2023 via trade after signing a massive deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.

DL Lawrence Guy

Guy bounced around between the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers and Baltimore Ravens over his first six years in the league before playing the next seven with New England.

OT Conor McDermott 

McDermott was actually drafted by the Patriots in 2017, but he didn't make the roster as a rookie. Instead, he spent three years with the Buffalo Bills and four with the New York Jets. He returned to New England in 2022 and spent the last two seasons with the team.

S Adrian Phillips

Phillips went undrafted in 2014 and signed with the San Diego Chargers. He spent six seasons with them, earning All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in 2018 before joining the Patriots for the last four years.

OT Riley Reiff

Reiff was a first-round pick back in 2012 and played for the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Bengals and Chicago Bears for signing with New England last year. He only played in one game due to injuries.

WR Tre Nixon

Nixon was a seventh-round pick for the Patriots in 2021 out of UCF. He spent all three years in New England on either the practice squad or injured reserve.

LB Terez Hall

The Patriots signed Hall as an undrafted free agent in 2019 out of Missouri. He was back and forth between the practice squad and active roster over the last five seasons.
